Charming building, amazing location For our first time in Annecy, we seem to have really lucked out on this apartment--the location cannot be beat and the quirky building proudly showing its old bones is in just about the best location you could ask for. Everywhere we wanted to go was less than a five minute walk away. The view of the old city across one of Annecy's crystal-clear canals (the pictures in the listing are true-to-life) was nearly as entertaining as actually walking around. Check-in/out easy and as expected and the host was super helpful to get us settled in. Apartment: modern renovation of a building with some history, comfortable temperature with easy-to-adjust thermostat (and heated floors!), just enough room for a family of five. Location: everything mentioned before, plus easy nearby parking. Right above a busy pedestrian street packed with restaurants but the apartment seemed pretty quiet. What a gem.

We enjoyed the central location of this apartment in the old town with its historic building with modern fittings. Gorgeous view of the Thiou River and Palais de l'Île. The kitchen was well stocked and the washer/dryer was handy during our stay. Only one level of stairs to walk up to the room. Check in and checkout was easy. Negative: All enjoyable

It most amazing was the wonderful hot shower with great pressure - particularly welcome after long day outside in cold and rain. My husband and I visited Annecy with a friend of ours and wanted to have a centrally located apartment that could accommodate 3. This apartment was perfect for a combined group. It sits right on a canal and views from the windows are picture perfect. We found it a bit difficult to log onto wifi, couldn’t locate a physical or web-based house instruction manual and had some difficulty reaching the host for instructions. We finally figured out that the router was near the TV and once we turned it on, all was good. The absence of a house instruction manual was a bit of a drawback since there were no clear instructions indicating host expectations. We visited in late October and on the first night, the apartment was quite warm. Free-standing fans are available and were helpful, but this apartment might get quite warm in the summer months. Overall, we would recommend staying here as the setting is beautiful

Adorable and amazing location but very hot in the summer.
Positive: The apartment was adorable, right in the middle of town and on the canal, with a wonderful view of the old prison, and a beautiful bridge. There I was a lot of activity in town when we stayed, so if you like to be right in the middle of the action, it is literally right outside of your door. there is a little washer/dryer, which was nice, and the kitchen had all of the basics. Negative: Latifa, who let us in and checked us out, was helpful but came off as a little bit abrupt at times. For example, we had not realized there was no AC when we rented it and it was pretty sweltering. The windows are all on one wall so there is no cross-circulation. My husband texted to just confirm that there was no AC (in case we had missed a central air thermostat, or something). She simply wrote back that there is indeed no AC and told him to “just wake up.” I took it to mean that we could leave the apartment to cool down during the day, but it was a little odd as a response.

We loved that our apartment was in an old building on a cobbled street. Once inside, there was everything we needed. Beds very comfortable. The view from the windows is amazing. The 2 nights we stayed were extremely hot for sleeping, even with the 2 supplied portable fans and windows open, but certainly not the fault of the owner. Parking was very straightforward in nearby l'Hôtel de Ville, after we unloaded our car in a street close to the apartment. We would stay here again no hesitation, but hopefully with cooler night weather!

Best view over the canal!
Positive: The location is just amazing, you are literally in the spot which all the tourists want to photograph:) it’s a great spot to find restaurants for dinner or breakfast. Also there is a market on certain days so you can grab a few local produce and then have a great breakfast at “your” place with a view over canal! The flat has nice design, with exposed brick, lovely furniture. Kitchen is very well equipped, you will probably find everything you need there. Until a certain point in the evening it may be a bit loud but then all the restaurants close and people go home:) You need to bear in mind it’s super central with a pedestrian only zone around so you need to park a little further away a and then carry your suitcases. Negative: The flat could have been cleaner. We were with two small kids who obviously managed to get into every corner and open every drawer. Because of them we discovered that cleaning was a bit superficial (so limited to more visible areas but with - for example - floors under the bed omitted. The communication at checkin was very good but less so during the stay and at the checkout. We had some issues and tried to reach the contact person but there was a problem with the phone number which didn’t work. Also they were super nice to let us extend checkout by one hour but then nobody really shows up to pick up the keys so we were not sure if all is OK and we left the keys in an unlocked apartment which was a bit stressful. Finally, the flat is on a more expensive side (which I understand because it is very nice and located in an amazing spot in Annecy) but with that price I really don’t want to be washing the dishes before I leave or removing the sheets etc, I think al that should be covered by the price…

Positive: Everything was just amazing! We stayed one week in this apartment and enjoyed every second of our stay. The location was perfect - very central, close to the railway station and to the lake. The old town, incl. the farmers market (Tue, Fri, Sun) just around the corner, Monoprix supermarket also very close, not to mention all the restaurants, cafés and shops. The apartment is clean and spacious and equipped with everything you need, incl. washing machine which is really useful in case of a longer stay. The hosts were very helpful and forthcoming. Beautiful view to the canal. Negative: There is really nothing to say here except perhaps that in summer time when it's hot outside and all the windows are open, you have to consider with the noise coming from the restaurants situated right below the apartment at the canal.

Great apartment in an amazing location! The view from the lounge windows to the old prison opposite, the canal and the mountains towards the lake is breathtaking. This apartment has everything you need for an easy and comfortable stay. High quality linen and kitchenware, comfortable beds - the sofa bed is also very comfortable with thick mattress. Kitchen is very well equipped with coffee pods, sugar, tea, oils, dressings, salt and pepper etc. Washing powder and shower gel was also provided by the host. Daniel also gave a lovely bottle of champagne to enjoy as we were there for Christmas Day. It is in a perfect location with shops, restaurants, bars, markets right outside the front door. The lake is less than 5 minutes walk. There is a shop 2 doors down that sells ready made fresh meals and delicacies if you want to eat in and a Monoprix supermarket 2 minutes walk away. We would highly recommend this apartment!!

Daniel will give you as many recommendations and as much information as you want. We left his place for the French Riveria. He recommended we take the little bit longer scenic route and it was amazing. Would stay here again.

Appartement conforme aux photos et a la descrition. Propre et parfaitement localisé. Equipements presents. En revacnche, malgré les 6 couchages il n est pas tout à fait adapté pour 6 adultes, il y a seulement 4 chaises et la table de la cuisine est un peu petite.

Daniels apartment was outstanding. Perfectly appointment, very modern, clean and stylish and decorated to a very high standard. If you have never visited Annecy before you couldn't possibly wish for a more central and convenient location in the heart of the old town overlooking the canal! A huge selection of restaurants, shops, museums and the lake on your doorstep. As well as an incredible farmers market every Tuesday and Friday that you can see from the apartment. Everything is in walking distance including bike and boar rental stores if you want to tour the lake. Thank you, Daniel, the apartment made our stay excellent.

Great location in the old town - right on the canal. The apartment appears on numerous postcards as is opposite the Palais d’Isle. All rooms clean and tidy with nice bedding and lots of towels. Easy to find - Daniel was helpful with local tourist info and parking. Would recommend!

L’appartement est idéalement situé, une vue de carte postale! Très très bien aménagé, le seul est pour les gens qui ne peuvent dormir que dans le noir. Les volets ne ferment pas très bien et n’occultent pas grand chose, mise à part cela il est très très bien!

You can’t ask for a better location in Annecy. The view out the windows to the canal can’t be beat! Apartment was clean and had all the items needed for a short stay.
